The island of Graciosa is covered in vineyards that make it picture perfect, as do the white windmills that are dotted around that perfectly contrast the seemingly ever blue sky of the Azores Islands. A visit to Graciosa feels like a journey to tranquil times of the past when the bustle of modern life was still unknown.
There is plenty of underwater life in the waters off the coast of Graciosa so it is perfect for snorkelers and the "Carapacho" Hot Spring Baths, with their medicinal waters, are a lovely way to spend an afternoon. Visitors must also taste some of the delicious wine that is produced at its vineyards.
